MacKinnon & Bowes is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to work on a full-time, part-time or casual basis. We offer full benefits to full-time employees as well as flexible scheduling for part-time and casual employees.
Note: ALL employees who will be driving vehicles will be required to provide a current, valid driver’s abstract.
Licensed Funeral Directors: Applicants must hold a license in good standing with the Ontario Board of Funeral Services and will be required to perform the following duties:
- perform transfers from residences, nursing homes and hospitals
- embalm and prepare bodies
- organize shipping and repatriation of bodies and cremated remains
- drive professional vehicles
- provide licensed coverage to funeral homes
Funeral Director Assistant: Experience in the funeral industry is preferred but not required. Applicants will be expected to be able to competently perform the following duties:
- perform transfers from residences, nursing homes and hospitals
- assist with the preparation of bodies
- assist with the maintenance of professional vehicles
- provide assistance to funeral homes
Professional Drivers: Experience driving funeral or professional vehicles is preferred but not required. Applicants will be expected to drive and properly maintain:
- Funeral coaches
- Limousines
- Flower vans
- Transfer vans
Parking Lot Attendents: Applicants are expected to be able to assist funeral homes with parking cars in their lots and greeting friends and family during visitation.
